What We Don’t Know About Barack Obama

July 31st, 2009

Andrew McCarthy of National Review does yeoman’s work in this article about Barack Obama. As he points out, both Barack Obama and the Democratic Party - as well as their enablers in the media - have gone to an awful lot of trouble to obfuscate even the most basic biographical information about our current president.

If for no other reason than the sake of history, the public has a right to know these small mundane pieces of information about the man who represents us before the world. The question is: why don’t we?

Obama Officially Against Gays

June 12th, 2009

During the whole Carrie Prejean episode, lots of people pointed out that her position was no different than that of President Obama or even his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. So why were people crucifying her and giving these two Democratic icons a complete pass?

The answer from the gay community was that, yeah, Obama says he’s against gay marriage but he just had to say that to get elected. He’s really FOR it, you see, it’s just you ignorant straights that believed him when he said he was against it. We smart gays know better.

Yeah…not so much….

So tell me, how do you feel about your Messiah today? Still think that everybody else was stupid, and you were the geniuses who knew better? We’ll be waiting for that apology to Carrie Prejean for unfairly singling her out while you hypocritically shielded Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party from criticism. And you wonder why your cause isn’t taken more seriously?

When you’re willing to sell out on what you claim is the most important moral issue of the day in the name of your party politics, you’ll have to excuse people for thinking that you’re not really that serious about either wanting it or what your actions says about how little importance this “important moral issue” really has. As Glenn Reynolds often says about things like global warming, “I’ll believe it’s a crisis when the people telling me it is start acting like there is one.”

It’s put up or shut up time with Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party. Which will you choose?

Obama Started the Lies About Sarah Palin

September 22nd, 2008

The Jawa Report has done a great job of connecting the dots between the Obama campaign and video hit jobs against Sarah Palin that were uploaded to YouTube and Google Video as well as e-mailed to Leftist websites like DU and dKos.

David Axelrod, Obama’s campaign manager, is one of the most vicious, disgusting and vile human beings ever to walk the face of the earth. To even think of some of the smears that have been launched against Sarah Palin, let alone be responsible for spreading what he knows for a fact to be outright lies, takes a level of human depravity that few are capable of.

I state this as fact. If Obama and Axelrod want to challenge me, then let’s take it to court. We’ll go to discovery over their communications with the Winner family, open up the client lists of his AstroTurfing company, and follow the dots throughout the Democratic leadership. Go ahead, I triple dare you….

Real Estate Bubbles and Realtors

May 28th, 2008

For all the scorn and blame that has been heaped on mortgage brokers during the last year, realtors have surprisingly escaped getting their fair share of the blame for the recent unrealistic run-up in real estate prices. I have long contended that they, in fact, are the number one reason that prices ran up as far and as fast as they did. Now they want to put the blame on lenders and brokers and the buyers, but never nor at any time on the real estate agents who are still spending every minute of every hour trying to convince people that *NOW* is the time to buy a house.

Forget the fact that they know prices are declining and will likely continue to do so over the next couple of years. Forget the fact that they know their buyers can’t afford the house they’re showing them. Forget the fact that even in a tough market that they’re unwilling to reduce their commission rates. And that’s where we come to the reason for today’s rant: the monopolistic behavior of the NAR.

You would think that the same market forces which affect most other markets in this country would affect real estate as well, but you would be wrong. Because of the near-monopoly that the NAR and its members exercise over the listing services, those who might compete with them are effectively shut out of the market. They have to pay higher prices for access to the listings, if they’re allowed access at all. Now, a light may be breaking into the darkness, as the NAR has been forced into a settlement with the Department of Justice to allow internet-based agencies to have fair access to those listings.

Given their history of manipulative behavior, I would bet that they’re still going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming into compliance with the agreement over and over again. But it’s a start. Once we can break the NAR strangehold on real estate, we might once again see some rationality in the marketplace.

Desperate Lesbian Sues eHarmony Over Rejection

June 1st, 2007

This is the kind of stuff that makes people think that gays and lesbians are a bunch of whiners claiming discrimination where none exists….Linda Carlson of Northern California: this post is for you…

This idiotic lesbian is suing eHarmony because it has the gall to only provide dating services to heterosexuals. Oh the horror! You might as well start tattooing the arms of all the homosexuals with this kind of treatment.

Seriously, her fake outrage is exactly why people oppose equal rights amendments covering homosexuality: because this is the kind of outrageous stupidity to which it leads - outright harassment and extortion of businesses and individuals for no reason other than the fact that they haven’t gone out of their way to make it more convenient for this sorry excuse of a human being to inflict herself on others. Why should eHarmony have to provide dating services to homosexuals? Do they hold a monopoly on the dating market? Are homosexuals incapable of meeting people without eHarmony? What prevents this desperate loser of a lesbian from starting her own dating service? This is stupidity on stilts and a clear manipulation of the law for publicity and a chance to extort a few dollars from a successful business.

Linda Carlson, pulling a stunt like this perfectly illustrates why you need help finding someone. You are an ass of the first dimension. Why would anyone subject themselves to your particular brand of dementia? eHarmony wouldn’t be able to help you find someone to put up with this kind of moronic behavior. Your problem isn’t with eHarmony, it’s in the mirror…
